Waterford clubs taking part in the Munster Intermediate Football Championship have failed to win in their last 8 attempts. Gaultier were the last Waterford club to secure a victory in this competition, recording two wins en-route to the 2004 Final where they lost to Carbery Rangers (Cork).

Tipperary clubs have failed to record a victory in the Munster Intermediate Football Championship in four of the last 5 years. Mullinahone were the exception, securing two victories en-route to the 2011 Final where they lost to Milltown / Castlemaine (Kerry).

Since the competition began in 2003, Kerry clubs have won 7 of the 10 Munster titles on offer, including the last 7 in a row. Cork clubs have won the other 3 Munster titles in 2003, 2004 and 2005.
